About EMRS Assam Recruitment 2026
The Assam State Level EMRS Society under the Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Assam has released a recruitment notification for engagement of Guest Teachers at Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Dalbari in Baksa district.
Eklavya Model Residential Schools are residential educational institutions established for tribal students to provide quality education comparable to leading schools in the country. The selected teachers will work on temporary contractual basis for one academic year or until regular teachers join the institution.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: For TGT posts, candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject or combination of subjects along with B.Ed degree from recognized university/institution approved by NCTE.
For PGT posts, candidates must possess Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject along with B.Ed qualification.
Candidates must also have qualified CTET/STET and should have proficiency in teaching in English medium.
For PGT Commerce post, candidates must have studied Accountancy and Business Studies at graduation level.
Age Limit (as on 01 April 2026):
Candidates must be:
- Minimum 21 years
- Maximum 55 years
Retired teachers from State Government/KVS/NVS/recognized CBSE schools may also apply. Maximum age limit for retired teachers is 62 years.
Reservation & Relaxation: The official notification has not mentioned category-wise reservation details for this guest teacher engagement. Eligibility and selection will be based on educational qualification and teaching experience.
Eligibility Note: In case candidates with essential qualifications are unavailable, the selection committee may consider candidates without full qualification requirements as per notification.
Selection Process
Selection of Guest Teachers will be based on:
- Academic Qualification Marks
- B.Ed Marks
- Previous Teaching Experience
- Interview
Assessment Criteria:
- 1 mark for every percentage in Graduation (Maximum 100 marks)
- 1 mark for every percentage in B.Ed (Maximum 100 marks)
- 1 mark for every completed year of experience (Maximum 10 marks)
The interview process will be conducted at District Level for the concerned EMRS.
