The recruitment also includes 22 posts reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and 11 posts reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree from a recognized University under the Medical Council of India (MCI) and must be registered under the Assam Medical Council.
Age Requirement: Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age as on 01 January 2026. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved-category candidates as per the existing provisions and rules.
Salary: Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹30,000–₹1,10,000 with Grade Pay of ₹12,700, along with other allowances admissible under the rules of the Government of Assam.
PwBD Reservation: Out of the 560 posts, 22 posts are reserved for PwBD candidates, distributed as follows:

Post Details
The recruitment is for Medical & Health Officer-I (M&HO-I) or equivalent ranks under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam.
Doctors currently serving under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Directorate of Health Services (DHS), National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, and other Government agencies under the Government of Assam are also eligible to apply. The advertisement states that a separate NOC is not required to apply.
