Eligibility Criteria for RBI Officer Grade B Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the required educational qualification depending on the stream applied for.
For Grade B (General), candidates should possess Graduation or equivalent qualification with minimum marks criteria prescribed by RBI.
For DEPR and DSIM streams, candidates must possess specialized postgraduate qualifications in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Mathematical Economics, or related disciplines.
Age Limit (as on 01 April 2026):
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years
Candidates possessing M.Phil qualification are eligible up to 32 years, while candidates with Ph.D qualification are eligible up to 34 years.
Reservation & Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC – 3 years
- PwBD (General/EWS) – 10 years
- PwBD (OBC) – 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 years
Additional relaxation is also available for Ex-Servicemen and candidates with prior experience in certain financial institutions as per RBI rules.
