About KAAC Soil Conservation Recruitment 2026
The Central Selection Board (CSB), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu has invited applications from eligible Permanent Residents of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts for recruitment to Grade III and Grade IV posts under the Soil Conservation Department (Hills).
The recruitment aims to fill 19 sanctioned vacancies across technical, ministerial, and Grade IV positions. Eligible candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed Standard Form of Application before the closing date.
Key Recruitment Information
Vacancies: A total of 19 vacancies have been announced under Grade III and Grade IV categories.
Educational Qualification: Educational qualification varies depending on the post. Junior Assistant requires a Bachelor’s Degree, while Soil Conservation Demonstrator (Junior) requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Soil Science, Environmental Science or equivalent disciplines. Soil Conservation Field Worker requires HSLC or an equivalent qualification, whereas Dak Runner, Peon, Handyman, and Chowkidar require a minimum Class VIII pass.
Age Requirement: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government and KAAC rules.
Reservation & Relaxation: Reservation of posts and age relaxation will be provided in accordance with Government of Assam and KAAC rules.
Pay Scale: The recruitment includes Grade III and Grade IV posts under the Assam Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017, with pay ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹70,000 plus applicable Grade Pay.

KAAC Soil Conservation Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process differs according to the post applied for.
Grade III posts will be filled through a Written Examination, Computer Skill Test, and Viva-Voce. Final merit will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in all three stages.
Grade IV posts will be filled through Viva-Voce only.
