About Rubber Board North East Recruitment 2026
The Rubber Production Department of the Rubber Board has invited applications from eligible candidates for temporary engagement as Young Professionals (Extension Service) in the North-East region. The engagement is intended to strengthen extension activities and support Rubber Board programmes across various Regional Offices.
A total of 25 positions have been allocated across Regional Offices located in Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, and other parts of the North-East. The engagement is initially for three months and may be extended based on administrative approval and project requirements.
Key Recruitment Information
Vacancies: A total of 25 Young Professional (Extension Service) posts have been announced for the North-East region.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a B.Sc degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Forestry. Applicants holding an M.Sc degree in Botany, Plant Science, or equivalent disciplines are also eligible to apply.
Age Requirement: Applicants must not be more than 30 years of age as on 01 June 2026.
Remuneration: Selected candidates will receive ₹30,000 per month as salary along with ₹10,000 per month towards TA/DA. The total monthly remuneration works out to ₹40,000.
Experience & Desirable Skills: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in agricultural extension activities. Proficiency in the local language of the respective region is considered desirable.
Position Details
The recruitment covers Regional Offices functioning under the Guwahati and Agartala Zonal Offices. These positions are intended to support field-level extension services and developmental activities related to the rubber sector in the North-East region.

The engagement is temporary for a period of three months up to 30 September 2026. The tenure may be extended up to 31 March 2027 subject to approval for continuation under the 16th Finance Commission period.

Rubber Board North East Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be considered based on their qualifications, suitability, and experience. Preference may be given to candidates possessing experience in agricultural extension activities and familiarity with the local language of the region where they are proposed to be engaged.
Further selection procedures, if required, will be conducted by the concerned Regional Office of the Rubber Board.
